This was a typical lunch in the Maasai Mara Reserve. We would find shade, hard ground, and chow down on a usually delicious lunch packed by our cook, Jacob. It consisted of some sort of fruit juice, packaged like a juice box, a sandwich, an apple or orange and maybe some chips..sorry, crisps.
There I am, enjoying a tomato and cucumber sandwich. It was refreshing and kept quite well in the little sandwich containers all day. I thought these lunches were pretty boring, and honestly, quit tasteless while I was there, but right now, I would love a tomato and cucumber sandwich on weird, Kenyan bread. And the orange juice here just isn’t cutting it, I would love a nice passionfruit juice right about now. YUM.
